Last few weeks I didn't practice much and I had to play the Star+Banner music for 3 weeks! Finally I passed and now I am at the last lesson of Book 1 going to Book 2. If I keep the progress, I should be able to finish Book 2 by the end of April.
Notes from 1/27 lesson:
Left hand - wrist more under flute; ring finger over circle; "violinist" - flute over left shoulder.
Scales - 1/4 note = 92; only breath after the top note of each scale.
Finger exercise: E-F#, Eb-F, F#-E-D, Eb-F#, 1/4 note = 60. Various patterns not listed here.
Don't chop 1/4 note before breath.
I don't like to practice the finger exercise. But I suppose if I want to make progress, I have to. Just like in the pianos...
