2002-11-30 - 11:49 p.m. Thanksgiving holidays really interrupted my journal entry. However, flute practice has been kept up. Just trying to blow all the really high notes with consistency. I hope I am not bothering my neighbor too much - today within a minute of my begin of practice, he left the house... James Galway's book Flute for the Yehudi Menuhin Music Guides is, surprisingly, quite book. The writing is tight, informative, fluent and entertaining. Apparently he is very knowledgeable with the subject, as far as the "history" chapter I have been reading. Played for S on Thursday (Thanksgiving) and he was happy to see me making progress. I no longer feel dizzy when playing, and I can blow notes for a longer time with one breath. That is progress for me.
